Appearance: Apollo Rahz is a tall man standing at 6'3" with a filled-out, strong muscular figure that looks like it was carved from marble by the Gods themselves. He weighs 250 lbs of pure power and brawn. He has brown skin with matching piercing brown eyes. He has raven black hair but he goes through periods where he shaves it off or has it extremely thin to the dome. He has no facial hair and keeps himself clean shaven. Apollo has large lips and large nose; he has high cheekbones and thin, bushy eyebrows. He also has elf like ears that appear to be remnants of his hollow past; another remnant of his past are fang like pieces of white mask that appear on the sides of his chin and the very edge of his jawline, reaching hie bottom of his ears. Around his eyes are black outlines that stretch along the length of his eyes. Apollo has a large, block like chin with a bit of a stubble. His garb is very Egyptian in aesthetics. He wears tight white pants made of a strange fabric with diamond like grooves through it that show off his physique with black boots. He wears a shirt of similar fabric but with a lightning bolt shaped window in its center coming from its collar that shows his hollow hole; his hollow hole is often filled with spiritual energy and fills out the window with its power. He wears think black bracelets on his wrists and a thick black sash like belt with a chain hanging off one side. He wears a garb over his left shoulder that also wraps around his shoulders.

Personality: Apollo Rahz Maxiezeus is a madman with a God complex. He sees himself as lord protector of his people and will do whatever is necessary to keep them alive but at the same time he is not one to tolerate disobedience and will cut down all who oppose his rule. He has a calm, serious demeanor in almost any situation and is not one to smile or show much emotion besides contempt and anger. He tries to keep a cool head and is successful most of the time, he tries to be rationale so he lead his people as efficiently as he should.

He is intelligent enough to learn from his mistakes and the mistakes of his predecessors, he is a capable analyst and strategist, and has great skill into manipulating people both in a military and political sense. He is almost Machiavellian in his actions and choices. He isn't one to trust most people nor rely on them as such when, he is forced to use another to complete his goals he will almost undoubtedly have a contingency plan but he does believe in Espadas powers and knows that he has to keep them in check. He believes that people should strive for power or control, not inherit it, as such he discourages rules of inheritance, he more so believe to every should do as much as they can that is within their range of skills or talents.

During his long human life and his life as a Hollow, Apollo had many, many battles against those whom attacked and enslaved his people. Battles against those who were closet to him, against those who would challenge his rule. He has grown tired and weary of battle, he knows how betrayal and blood lust can lead one down a path to self destruction. His goals are actively based around defence rather than warmongering or conquest. He believes in the betterment of Los Noches and Hueco Mundo as a whole rather than just the lives of a few. This being said he is not a stranger to violence and will use it as a means to an end. For him it is a tool, not the solution.

Fighting Style

Combat Style Overview

Innate Ability: Corrente Divino - lightning which flows through Apollo's body and is released when ever Apollo needs it; this lightning is directly correlated to Apollo's Reiryoku. This lightning is yellow and blue in color, it can be discharged from just about any part of his body and can take a variety of shapes - both natural or otherwise.

The lightning may have a maximum width of 10 meters, the maximum strength of a level 75 Kidou spell when Apollo is in his unreleased state but Apollo can control the ampitude or voltage of his corrente to suit his needs. It may travel a maximum distance of 20 meters without losing lethality nor accuracy and up to 30 meters with the loss of both accuracy and strength having a maximum damage profile of a level 45 kidou spell; it dwindles into nonexistence at about 45 meters or before if it hits an obstruction. The lightning, if connected to Rahz, may last as long as he pours energy into it but after leaving his control it will last 1 post.

The lightning can be branched out into many thin bolts; the number of bolts vary but generally 12 bolts are used at once. The lightning has reached maximum speeds of a lvl 1 shunpo or sonido. The lightning can change direction at any moment on a limited scale and move or turn around objects to hit things behind or around cover; limited refers to the extent that the lightning must arc or swerve slightly to change course, it can't merely do a 180 within its current.

The lightning capable of cutting, shocking, numbing, paralyzing, searing, burning through, causing explosions, and destroying things from a far or up close.

Once Upon A Time

History:

Apollo Rahz Maxiezeus was born into a nomadic tribe of Shepherds, Warriors, and Labourers in the desert plains of what is now modern day Egypt. His tribe was known the Rahz Tribe and had a very strange culture that had some ancient ties to Greece. They believed in both Egyptian and Greek Gods; they held that the belief that all God’s were infact the one and the same but merely different personas for different people. In those days such beliefs were considered to be heretical and as a result the majority of the Rahz tribe kept this belief to themselves. Those who did not were often found and executed publicly by the Egyptians, Hebrews, and other Middle Eastern peoples.

Apollo Rahz Maxiezeus was the son of a warrior and a priest’s daughter. His mother was a very beautiful woman with piercing emerald eyes, flowing black hair that was soft as silk, and lightly tanned skin that looked like the very desert sands that spawned the Rahz tribe. His father was an incredibly powerful and feared warrior who worked like a mercenary like many other members of the Rahz tribe. He was a brutal man who instilled fear when needed but also was respectful to his wife and loving to his 5 children. Their union was one of the most joyous ever seen within the Rahz tribe and seemed to endure through every hardship they faced.

Apollo being the eldest son of his father and the eldest grandson of a high priest was given a dual tenure from both his fathers. His mother and grandfather taught him the ancient history of the Rahz Tribe, their heretical beliefs, and their heritage. They believed that they were born when the World was flooded, the mud that remained was molded by the Great Creator and was hit the lightning of the Gods that granted them life. Being a child Apollo believed all of this and never dared question it. They also tried to teach him how to tap into the ‘residual lightning’ of the gods but he never fully understood what they meant.

Apollo’s father taught him how to be a man and how to provide for his family. He taught him warrior morals that he in turn learned his father. He taught him about Ares, Reshep, and Montu. The Gods’ of War. He also taught him how to hunt, how to kill, and how to survive. He absorbed everything his father ever taught him like a sponge. The end result was that Apollo would become the first and last Warrior Priest of the Rahz Tribe for soon their tenure on the Earth would come to an end.

When Apollo was 14 the Rahz tribe was attacked by the Egyptians. They fought valiantly but they were ultimately defeated by the blitz like attack. Many of the men were killed in battle, others were executed by them, and the rest were enslaved. Apollo’s father was crippled but spared. The elderly were killed, starting with the Rahz elders and Apollo’s grandfather. The women were taken by force to be sold and raped. Apollo’s 3 sisters were taken from his family and were later sold as wives and concubines to the swines that were the nobility of Egypt; his mother was forced in servitude and later died at the hand of an Egyptian official when she refused his advances; he falsely accused her of stealing and had her executed . Apollo’s father, younger brother, Maxizz, and Apollo himself were forced into slavery to build temples and pyramids for the Pharaoh.

Apollo’s father died 2 years after their enslavement when he tried to lead a slave uprising against their captors but was brutally killed when the slaves lost their nerve and left him along with 8 others weaponless against the armed slave drivers. Apollo was only 16, Maxizz was just 12. For 4 years Apollo and Maxizz slaved with other slaves in the construction of the Pharaoh's legacy. Than one day one of the slave drivers began to harass against an adolescent Maxizz when it began to rain over the construction site. Maxizz had fallen because of the slippery surface of wet stone and sand. He couldn’t continue working. It was at that moment when a slave driver began to whip Maxizz while Apollo was nearby. Apollo had grown into a hulking 6’5” monster of muscle and anger; he was fed up with slave life and when his brother was in danger Apollo acted out on his anger and ran up behind the guard and grabbed him be the back of his head; Apollo then made the slave driver face him by snapping his neck. The hulking slave than through the dead guard from the growing pyramid. Guards were soon upon them so Apollo pick up his younger brother and put him over his shoulder and began to run but soon he found himself in corner. He could fight them but he knew his brother couldn’t.

So he prayed. He prayed for power from Gods. He called their names and as thunder began to roar above the slaves and guar, his prayers were answered. The Sky opened up in three different places and lightning bolts from the Gods themselves struck Apollo. He found himself transformed and his body filled with nigh limitless energy. A single thought played over and over his head. “Break them, BREAK them, BREAAAAK THEM!”

Apollo moved the swiftness of lightning and struck with force of thunder, savagely killing the guards. He turned to his brother Maxizz, who was awestruck by his transformation, and extended his hands toward his brother. When his brother went to touch his hand lightning poured from Apollo Rahz to his Maxizz Rahz. He too was transformed by the lightning of the Gods. They decided that their oppressors had to be punished and together they destroyed the pyramid they were forced to slave over for 6 years of their lives. From there they brought down Divine Retribution throughout the decadent land of Egypt. They attacked the Royal Palace with their new found powers and dragged the Pharaoh through the streets along with his advisors, priest, and officials. They left them to the peasants as they freed the other slaves. Apollo banished the Royal Family to the harsh deserts; never to return to their homeland again.

Apollo and Maxizz would then rule Egypt with their new found power for the next 50 years. Apollo’s control over Egypt was absolute; he tolerated no crime, silenced opposition to his rule, and ruled with an Iron Fist. He fought wars against neighbouring nations who tried to usurp his throne and with his lightning he decimated entire armies . Maxizz was more liberal and a much kinder ruler but did not speak out against his brother often; he helped him with defending their new land from their enemies and together they were known as the Lightning Lord and the Thunderer. Their stories, their rule would forever be legend but like all stories it had to come to an end.

Apollo gained a bloodlust and soon tired of the wars against his kingdom. He would become the attacker and absolutely destroy the surrounding kingdoms. There would be no more wars after this for the world he knew would be under his control. Domination was his dream now. Maxizz did not agree and actively went against his brother. He told him that if he attacked an innocent from another land that he would fight against him. Apollo did not want to fight against his brother but the same time he felt betrayed. Days, weeks, months passed with no attack from Apollo but he was growing tired of his brothers peaceful antics. Maxizz was starting to subvert his rule and wanted to go the diplomatic route when it came to politics; the bureaucracy of the matter sickened Apollo but he complied.

One day Maxizz left Egypt for a diplomatic meeting in Rome and Greece. He urged Apollo to go with them as a sign of a good will and he did. They were in Rome and Greece for over a month. Upon their return they found their great land in ruins and ashes. When the Lightning Lord and Thunderer were away his enemies came out play. Apollo’s anger could not be contained and he started a one man campaign against those he thought responsible destroying their cities with Lightning and tremendous wrath but soon Maxizz appeared to stop him. They fought and fought above enemy states causing massive damage to below. They were even for a bit until Apollo got the upper hand and ripped his brother’s lightning from his body; killing him. Apollo killed his younger brother and destroyed his soul in the process. Apollo’s wrath was gone in a second and the calming effect of remorse, grief, and sadness took over the Lightning Lord. He carried his brother’s body to the nile and set him down river. He relinquished his lightning and aged 55 years in an instant. The Old and feeble Apollo died there from a heart attack that instant and followed his brother down river.

His soul left his body and wandered his land for the next 50 years. He saw how the family of the banished royals children claimed control over Egypt once again and all Apollo built was destroyed. His people were enslaved and executed. The Pyramids were rebuilt and any mention of Apollo Rahz, the Lightning Lord was removed from history.

His soul chain was soon corrupted by his own negativity and he was transformed into a Hollow where for the next 300 years he attacked and ate souls through the deserts of Egypt and Los Noches. He had lost his mind to the bloodlust and the hunger that comes with the power of a Hollow. During one long tenure in Los Noches he came into conflict with many different Hollows. There was much bloodshed but Apollo would come out the victor and evolved into the next stage of Hollow as Menos Grande. His mask was different. He had Lightning Bolt like cut out for eyes. The moment he was born as a Menos Grande he devoured another Menos and evolved once more into a Powerful winged Adjuches Class Hollow with a Griffin/Manticore like appearance; retaining bits and pieces of his history as a mortal, as a god among them, but he also had memories of those he devoured those that were of lesser power who did not have a firm enough grasp of themselves to stop their destruction.

He roamed for years eating hundreds of other Hollows hoping to become more powerful; he developed a following of other Hollows like him who wanted to gain more power just as he did. He let them grow in power along with him but did not tolerate a single challenge to his power so the numbers in his group fluctuated frequently. When his sheep believed that their combined might was enough to defeat the Beast that was Apollo they attacked him but were utterly destroyed and defeated after a long battle; Apollo devoured them all and that was enough to tip the evolutionary scales allowing him to evolve once more into a Vasto Lorde class hollow, the epitome of power that all Hollows strive but only a select few ever achieve. With his new found power he attacked and destroyed other powerful Hollows in order to gain dominance over them. No longer would Apollo be second to anyone nor would he ever be subservient to another. This was his power and with it he’d rule Hueco Mundo.

Hundreds of years passed before the Vasto Lorde would ever be questioned again. He grew a grand army of hundreds of souls and challenged other such armies until he came face to face with another Hollow of his level. That confrontation was a close one but Apollo was the victor. It was not a glorious victory where he emerged unscathed. The other Great Lord almost killed Apollo and ripped his mask to shreds causing him to evolve once more into the Lord named Apollo Rahz Maxiezeus. The destruction of his thunderbolt masked led Apollo to become an Arrancar. A powerful one at that. The Arrancar Apollo went in search of Greater things. He found Los Noches.

With his tremendous might he transformed the strongest, the smartest, and the worthiness into Arrancars. He trained them outside its massive walls and made them a force to be reckoned with. Using them and his own tremendous might he stormed Los Noches, performing a successful hostile takeover. The Espada that survived their first confrontation with Rahz's forces were given a option to submit and join him as a part of his new Espada or be killed swiftly. Many chose their pride and were killed whilst others became tools for Rahz. With them Rahz ruled and controlled Hueco Mundo with a iron fist, creating new Arrancars for him to rule, and building great things throughout that plain but after a 1000 years at the helm of the Hollow Race, Rahz stepped down. He left control of Los Noches to his Espada and traveled the realms for a Great Perhaps but journey has finally come to an end. It is time for Rahz to come home.

As for your innate ability,

Apollo can control the size, the width, the strength (increasing the amount of Reirokyu will increase its strength), the direction, the number of branches and the speed of the lighting (to an extent). The only real limit to the lightning, beyond physical limitations, is Apollo's imagination. The speed of his lightning is quite fast and can be difficult to dodge that being said it is no where near as fast as a physical lightning bolt from the heavens but it is also unpredictable as Apollo doesn't have to take any position or say anything to discharge the lightning.The lightning capable of cutting, shocking, numbing, paralyzing, searing, burning through, causing explosions, and destroying things from a distance.

Relative size, strength and speed will be much appreciated, instead of just his imagination. Imaginations can be pretty powerful, way beyond measure. So, just something to measure it to/compare with will be beneficial for everyone's sake, that way no one is screaming foul play.

There's been a discussion amongst staff about shunpo-level speeds, which no one should have really. So, when I suggest these following changes, please don't refer me to other members' applications who have so and so speed of technique and blah blah, because we'll get to them very soon. Just stating, since most members view it as a very effective 'counter-argument.' But moving on:

As I understand, this lightning can be discharged at any given notice, instantaneous, as I quote you, "is released when ever Apollo needs it." Now, combine that with a shunpo speed of level 2, and anyone in what, close-combat range is immediately fried, are they not? So you'd understand if I asked you to lower the speed to one, given your status as Race Leader, that's plausible and fair.

Secondly, a "maximum strength of a level 75 kidou spell when in the sealed state." Elaborate, please? To my knowledge and understanding, I assumed an Arrancar's innate ability stayed the same level of power through-out. Then you introduce this 'sealed state' to me and now I am confused.

Thirdly, this: "the lightning can change direction at any moment and move or turn around objects to things behind cover or around" has got to go. With this, your set range becomes infinite. You move, you move the lightning, as long as it remains in the range stated, there's always lightning. See where my problem with it arises? There's also no mention of how long the released lightning lasts till it dwindles out or anything as such - that'd be great to add in as well.

As always, none of what I've stated is permanent. State a good counter-argument and you could possibly keep most of the ability the way it is.

By maximum strength, I mean't the highest potential for damage is akin to a level 75 Kidou spell but the strength of this ability comes from its manipulation. He can control the 'voltage' or 'amplitude' of his lightning so it isn't always at a level 75 Kidou but that is its maximum damage potential. I added that in because you never know what situations might arise when I have to use this ability against somebody I don't necessarily want to kill or destroy them, think stun or immobilize without killing or torture or displays of power. Imagine trying to torture someone far weaker than Rahz but killing them with the slightest jolt or trying to keep rowdy Espada in line but blow of their limbs because they have a pathetic level of Hierro. Comprende? It's just meant to give some leeway and keep it versatile rather than purely offensive.

By sealed I was reffering to his unreleased form or before he gets Resurrected. His Ress boosts the power of his innate. That boost is discussed in my Ress Application.

The intent wasn't to add infinite range but to increase maneuverability. Forgive me if I worded it poorly, I wrote his rather hastily, but it isn't a huge deal and I can remove if you believe I may abuse it or if it's too overpowered. I wanted the lightning to have a bit of pin point accuracy and the capability to move around solid obstructions such as shields or behind cover but I can see the problem with this.
