--------------------------------------
Birth Name: Inazuna Takashi Shinigami Aliases: None. Gender: Male. Age: 420. Birth Date: 2nd April. Rank Status: Lieutenant.
Affiliated Division: Second Division.
Appearance:
Takashi is a man of slightly above average height at and a lanky frame. He stands six feet tall and his body, though tall and thin, is not without muscle. Indeed, the muscle he possesses due to his training does not necessarily stand out against his lean frame but is very dense. His height and thin frame do well to make him appear weaker than he actually is. His skin is pale, almost white in colour and contrasts greatly with his dark hair, which he wears short with the bangs parted down the middle. His eyes are an emerald green and his features are very angular, as though his face was made up of straight lines.
His body is also lined with scars from his many missions under the Second Division. Those times when the mission was complicated by outside forces have left him with numerous scars across his torso, particularly across his chest, back and shoulders. Most of his scars are hidden beneath his clothing, though a single scar that runs horizontally across the bridge of his nose is clear as day to most people.
In terms of clothing Takashi wears a Shihakusho as is standard for Shinigami, though he has modified it to match the outfit of the Onmitsukido. His black hakama are tucked into black, knee-height tabi and his white obi sash has been replaced with a dark grey one. His shihakusho also lacks sleeves, leaving his arms mostly bare save for dark, fingerless gloves that extend back along his forearm up to the elbow. He does not wear a mask like others in the onmitsukido, however.
Personality:
Takashi is a quiet, formal person towards his peers and superiors. He shows proper manners learned from his upbringing in a noble house, though at the same time none would ever go as far as to say Takashi is friendly. Indeed, his formal behavior is little more than a manner of speaking that one might feel he has been trained to do automatically. He is disciplined but also blunt to the point of rudeness. Though he mostly prefers not to speak to others when not on business, he isn't adverse to putting down people for all manner of reasons, whether because he feels they are naive or in his opinion they are simply not suited to a job.
Takashi possesses a cynical outlook as he considers life to be ultimately meaningless. His experiences have left him convinced that the world is not kind or fair or even just and believes that most people who carry out their lives based on such concepts are merely lying to themselves. Despite this, he continues to carry out his duty as a Shinigami out of respect for his fallen brothers however much he tries to deny it. In addition, even Takashi is not completely devoid of kindness or caring. It could be better said that Takashi is determined to turn himself into an unfeeling tool, even if it brings him into conflict with others.
Despite his efforts to maintain a cool head, Takashi is not completely without his triggers. Even moreso than the typical Shinigami, Takashi despises Hollows and possesses an almost bloodthirsty tendency towards killing Hollows and Arrancar. He bears a grudge against all Hollows, to the point that the mere presence of one can make him uncharacteristically angry. While not outright hostile and antagonistic, he does possess a low opinion of the Shisaragi Clan and sees them as inferior to the Inazuna. He has reasoned to himself that the Shisaragi Clan is little more than a clan of glory hounds - that the Inazuna has little need for boasting - though much of this is due to his own upbringing within the Inazuna household.
Having been trained for assassination since his childhood, of course, Takashi is also cunning and pragmatic. He understands that the important part of fighting is winning and so is willing to use almost any kind of underhanded tactic to take down an opponent, no matter how 'unfair' it may seem. He finds the quickest way to end a fight and takes it. As a result, he can be said to be brutal and merciless towards his opponents. He possesses a tactical mind and during the midst of battle seeks to understand and develop counters to his opponents' techniques and powers.
When it comes to relaxing, as it were, Takashi mainly indulges in one of two of his favorite hobbies. He either spends his spare time training his body for combat or he spends his spare time stacking rocks as an exercise in patience. In his mind, however, he considers neither to be a hobby so much as a training exercise to help him better carry out his missions.

Once Upon A Time
|
History:
Takashi was born the third son of the head of the Inazuna Clan and the only biological son. His older brothers - Arata and Isamu - had both been adopted into the clan before his own birth. But regardless of the lack of a bloodline connection, the three boys would come to see one another as brothers anyway. At an early age Takashi was trained not just by the clan but by his brothers in the arts of assassination and Shinigami combat. His brother Arata trained him in hand-to-hand combat whilst his oldest brother Isamu taught him the basic footwork that was necessary to learn the basics of Shunpo. When the three boys were still young they were each enrolled in the Shino Academy one by one.
In the Academy Takashi found that everything he was taught was being put to the test. Even with the advantage of receiving training before he joined the Academy he found himself facing difficulty in accomplishing his goals. Still, he persevered and he would often score well in his grades. In Takashi's third year of the Academy his oldest brother Isamu graduated and left the Academy to join the Second Division, as the three brothers had all intended. However, their joy was short-lived. During a lesson in the Human world gone wrong, Arata was slain by a Hollow before any of the instructors could kill it. The death of his older brother came at a great shock to Takashi and Isamu. Takashi's grades began to decline following the death of his brother. Although the Inazuna saw Arata's death as a loss, they were unsympathetic to Takashi's falling grades. In an effort to satisfy the clan Isamu spoke with Takashi and the two came to an agreement - that they would work to accomplish the goal Arata trained his whole life for in his absence.
Takashi's grades picked back up again and after finally graduating from the Academy he enlisted in the Second Division. His brother Isamu, who had already become a seated officer, took him under his wing to train him and take care of him. With tireless work and effort, Takashi managed to become a Seated Officer by the age of 70. Still, he had a long way to go before he caught up with his brother Isamu. During his time in the Second Division he found himself relearning assassination techniques that had not been taught in the Shino Academy. But most importantly under his brother's tutelage he began to learn the art of Shunpo.
Time in the Second Division taught him many things. He kept many of the Second Division's secrets as though they were his own - even those secrets that most would consider horrific. After rising through the ranks a little both Takashi and Isamu were stationed in the Maggot's Nest to keep watch over the prisoners. People who had never done anything wrong, yet were nevertheless considered to be unstable by the Central 46. There was a part of Takashi that could not help but feel disgusted by the thought of locking up people who had not yet done any wrong. Despite this he held his tongue. He had sworn to uphold his clan's duties and the duties of the Second Division. Isamu likewise had sworn the same.
When Takashi turned 180 he had climbed up the ranks to the Twelfth Seat of Second Division whilst his older brother Isamu had attained the rank of Lieutenant. Isamu had made a name for himself as a sort of prodigy of the Inazuna Clan. His talents were great and his skills had earned him the rank of Lieutenant at a relatively young age. Isamu was eventually moved to the Patrol Corps shortly afterwards and in order to keep an eye on his younger brother, Isamu had Takashi reassigned to the Patrol Corps as well. For the next century the two worked together, honing their incredible teamwork. The two frequently went on missions together and completed whatever task was given to them without a problem. But their accomplishments did not last forever.
On a mission to the Human World both Takashi and Isamu were attacked by an Arrancar leading a horde of Hollow. The surprise attack from such a powerful being caught them off guard and both Takashi and Isamu were wounded. When the Arrancar moved to kill Takashi, however, Isamu decided to intercept the attack. Sacrificing his own life, Isamu ended up wounding the Arrancar badly enough to force a retreat, sparing Takashi's life. When Takashi awoke later in the Fourth Division, he was told that Isamu had not survived the encounter.
Takashi's long, painful recovery gave him plenty of time to look back on his life and everything he had gained and lost. For all he had accomplished with his life, becoming a Seated Shinigami of the Second Division, he had lost his two brothers - the two people he loved most in the world. The only people who he had ever truly felt close to in all of his life were now gone for good. All that he had left to live for was the will of the Inazuna Clan, but even such a purpose that he had been raised for now felt hollow and devoid of meaning.
Eventually Takashi picked himself up and began to train and head out on missions again, but there was a definite change. He lacked uncertainty about his work and now swung his blade with a ruthlessness and brutality that had never been there before. Though never exactly a socialite, he withdrew even more behind a cold, hard shell. A strict professional, he began to use his time only for the sake of carrying out his duties. With little else to define him, his duties to the Inazuna Clan and the Second Division became the only important thing in his life.
After many years of hard work, he was finally promoted to the rank of Lieutenant of the Second Division, just like his brother Isamu once was.
